Free wellbeing activities for Mental Health Awareness Week

Access Wellbeing services in Poole, Boscombe and Weymouth are hosting a range of free events as part of Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May 2026).

The theme this year is about taking action to support good mental health; this can be for yourself, someone else or all of us. Even small actions can help us feel hopeful and less powerless. And while our individual actions matter, when we come together we are even more powerful. Take action for yourself this Mental Health Awareness Week and come to an Access Wellbeing event!

Access Wellbeing offers a space where people can come as they are and feel supported to take small, positive steps towards better mental health.

“These events are a great way to find out more about what we do, meet others, and discover simple ways to support your own wellbeing, and we can’t wait to welcome people. I’d also like to say a huge thank you to all the partners supporting the week, and to The Dolphin for helping us to build such a supportive space in Poole.”

There are now over 30 Access Wellbeing spaces around Dorset offering free mental health and wellbeing support to anyone aged 18 and over, with no appointment needed. Support is delivered through an innovative partnership between the voluntary sector and NHS. Find your nearest space on our Places and Spaces page.
