Christmas opening times for hubs and drop-in spaces
Some of our Access Wellbeing services will be operating with different opening times over the festive period. All our hubs and drop-in spaces will be closed on bank holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day) and services on other days may also be closed due to venue availability and staff annual leave.

If your local drop-in space is closed, you can still contact your nearest Access Wellbeing team Monday to Friday (except bank holidays) on the phone – find details on phone numbers and times on the pages linked above.
Access Mental Health support over Christmas and the new year
Dorset’s Access Mental Health services – including Connection, The Retreats and Community Front Rooms – will be open as usual during the festive period. They provide support for anyone struggling to cope, seeking help or advice, feeling low or anxious, or heading towards a crisis.
Led by Dorset HealthCare, the services offer round-the-clock help and advice to those in need, in person, over the phone and online over Christmas and into the new year.
This time of year can be a particularly tough time for many of us. If you’re worried about your mental health or someone you know:
- The county’s Connection helpline is open 24/7 for support, advice and signposting for anyone in Dorset. Direct dial 0800 652 0190 or call NHS 111 and select the mental health option.
- Face-to-face and online services are available via The Retreats and Community Front Rooms – visit the website below for full details
