A space to talk and be heard

On Time To Talk Day (5 February) communities across the UK are encouraged to start conversations about mental health, to listen, share, and talk about what really matters.

At Access Wellbeing, we understand just how important those conversations can be. We provide welcoming, safe spaces where people can talk at their own pace, and truly feel heard.

Whatever’s on your mind, our teams have the time to listen.

“What I found with Tom, my wellbeing coordinator, was that he was just a fantastic listener,” explains David, a client in West Dorset. “When I first met him, we talked about how things might go… but we never really had an agenda. Usually, it was things that were going on in my life at the time that he gave me space to talk about – and that was such a welcome space to have.”

That freedom to talk about what matters most to you is central to Access Wellbeing. There’s no pressure to share more than feels comfortable – it’s a conversation centred around you.

“Sometimes I talk, sometimes I just sit,” explains Paula, a client in Poole. “Knowing I can do that is huge. I feel safe here. I was really scared at the beginning, but it’s just making that first step through the door. Every member of staff here is kind and not judgemental.”

Our spaces are open to anyone aged 18 and over, with no appointment needed – and support is completely free.
